A group of eight members of the Sportsmen’s Alliance had a delightful and productive outing on the Lazybones.

Lazybones reported 11 keeper fluke out of 35 fishermen on their morning outing. Per member Mike’s Wright’s piece in the East Hampton Press this week,  in shore bottom fishing has been challenging lately, our afternoon trip was not as productive – three keeper fluke and one sea bass.

Of the four keepers on the boat, three were from our group of eight: Libby Geissler’s 19.5″ fluke, Carol Mohlenoff’s 22 incher and Robin Psota’s keeper sea bass (the first fish of the day).  The pool winner was a 6 pound, and probably 26 inch, fluke late in the day.  A decent number of shorty fluke and sea bass throughout helped.

Everyone had a great time together and loved the Lazybones experience and crew. It felt like a mini vacation.

Not only was our EHSA group largely female, but the ladies were the only ones that were able to bring home dinner.   Maybe that’s good for the sport.
